In 1993, Max Elbo & the founding father of psychedelic art, Wes Wilson, collaborated to create
a unique digital image of Elbo's portrait of John Lennon for Wilson's poster project "Off The Wall".

The highly-sought-after 9-issue quarterly publication contains several of Max's
intensive pen & ink images, digitized, along with work by Elbo's wife, poet Selena Parrish.

In 2007, Elbo & Wilson appeared as art headliners for a unique show at Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, AR.
The article "Max Elbo, Stoking the Engines" chronicles their friendship.

"The Art of Rock" is widely considered to be the definitive guide to rock 'n roll poster art.
The Grande Ballroom section contains several Grande posters & handbills by Max Elbo,
who drew under numerous pseudonyms such as Donnie Dope,
Hairy Pumpkins, Dr. Mabuse, Black Dennis & Alice Cow.

An award-winning documentary film, "Louder Than Love: The Grande Ballroom Story",
 told through the eyes of the musicians, artists & people on the scene at the time.
