Max was greatly honored to be a recipient of the 2017 Governor's Arts Awards:  Judges Recognition Award.

Established in 1991, the annual Governor's Arts Awards program recognizes individuals and corporations for their outstanding contributions to the arts in Arkansas. The awards ceremony took place in Little Rock on March 14, 2017.

Award-winning videographer Nathan Willis interviewed each award recipient & created stunning videos presented at the Governor's Art Awards Ceremony & also shown on AETN, Arkansas Arts and Entertainment Network.  His sensitive interview of Max was filmed shortly before Max's death from pneumonia in January of 2017.
